A River Runs Through It

I apologize for the absence of any fresh posts over the weekend. To compensate, I've posted two pictures from some shots I took when I was able to sneak outside during a reprieve from this 48 hour thunderstorm we are having. Customarily, the thunderstorms only interrupt afternoon activity here, but this one seems determined to extend its posturing.

I spent last night at the Emergency Room with chest pains that I have had since Thursday. I believe it was one of the shorter visits I've had to an ER (when you have chest pains, they take it seriously). Anyways, nothing appears to be wrong with my heart, but there is the possibility that I am at the beginning or the end of a collapsed lung. They gave me some pain medicine (a shot in the tush and some pills) and it's plenty of rest for me over the next few weeks. Hopefully, if it is a collapsed lung, it will not retract any farther and collapse completely. I'm told the procedure to repair a collapsed lung is rather painful, and involves a tube in the chest without anaesthesia.

So, its just a line of idle days, with me and my thoughts.
